These instructions assume that you have created a widget through the Vendy platform and you have installed the Vendy app on a store with a theme which is Online Store 2.0 compatible. If you are using a legacy theme, please refer to our manual embedding instructions
Add a Shoppable Video Widget
After installing the Vendy app from the Shopify store, our Vendy Shoppable Video block will become available inside of the theme editor for your online store.
Open the theme editor by navigating to your theme and clicking customize.
Click the button to add a theme section. The Vendy Shoppable Video section should appear in the list of sections.
Add the Vendy Shoppable Video section to the page.
Click on the section to open the section settings.
Copy the Widget ID from the widget you would like to embed from Vendy's Widgets page.
Paste the Widget ID into the section settings.
The widget should now be embedded into your page.
Reposition or Remove a Shoppable Video Widget
The Vendy Shoppable Video block is configurable to be repositioned or removed with just a few clicks.
To reposition the widget on the page:
Open the theme editor by navigating to your theme and clicking customize.
Locate the section containing the Vendy Shoppable Video.
Use the section's drag and drop functionality to reposition your shoppable video.
To remove the widget from the page:
Open the theme editor by navigating to your theme and clicking customize.
Open the Vendy Shoppable Video block by clicking on it.
Click Remove Block to delete the widget from the page. You will be able to add it back to the page again at any time.
